Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to come and contribute with your participation to Budapest on the 16th of June for the 10th anniversary of HUPIR (Hungarian Pediatric IBD Registry). At present, HUPIR is the only nation-wide, prospective registry with reliable follow-up managed by 44 pediatric gastroenterologists in Hungary. To thanks for this precise, unselfish and exemplary work, we would give those experts something in return: this is IBDay. Unique international lecturers at a worthy venue and an unforgettable facultative social program is planned for this year!

HUPIR was launched in 2007 inspired by Professor Hankje Escher (Rotterdam) and EUROKIDS. Therefore, we all are very happy that Hankje accepted our invitation to hold a state of art lecture on her registry-topic. With my colleague, Katalin Müller (Budapest) would like to present the past and future ways of our HUPIR.

In addition, Lissy de Ridder (Rotterdam), one of the Executive Committee Member of Porto Group, initiated Cancer and Mortality Registry, one the most important registries at present: this would be her topic. Adult side of the coin: Professor Tamás Molnár from Szeged.

The third topic is the current pediatric ulcerative colitis guideline - one of the leaders is Professor Richard Russel from Glasgow. Adult version of this issue: Áron Vincze from Pécs.

Beside state of art lectures from the three main topics of this IBDay, clinical studies and case presentations are also welcomed! The best presenters will receive free registration and accommodation for P-IBD Meeting in Barcelona, 13-16 September, 2017.

And another good news at end: the following P-IBD Meeting will be organized in Budapest, 2019.

See you in Budapest,
